How are results calculated?
In each match-up, a team of creators faces a team of celebrities, and every team begins the tournament with four blends representing its chances of staying in the competition. The winning team keeps all its blends, while the loser drops one. At the end of the main stage, teams are ranked by remaining blends — the more a team holds on to, the higher its chances of reaching the final. Each match-up features three of the tournament’s game categories, and winning each category earns the team one point.
QB Cup Week 2 results
Wednesday 5 August — BKF 2-1 AlBatabet: the celebrities opened the week strongly as BKF edged AlBatabet 2-1, claiming its first win and bouncing back from a Week 1 loss, while AlBatabet dropped its first blend.
Thursday 6 August — Ice Team 2-1 Lynx: the celebrities kept their momentum as Ice Team beat Lynx 2-1 in a strong contest, halting Lynx’s flying start and forcing it to lose its first blend.
Friday 7 August — AZ 2-1 Rock: the celebrities completed their treble as AZ edged Rock 2-1, making up for a Week 1 loss and handing Rock its first defeat of the tournament.
Saturday 8 August — Level One 2-1 Al Diwaniya: the creators hit back as Level One saw off Al Diwaniya 2-1, keeping its full blend balance and continuing a perfect run, while Al Diwaniya took a second loss.
Sunday 9 August — Rock 2-1 Ice Team: in an extra match-up, Rock regained its footing quickly and beat Ice Team 2-1, making up for its loss to AZ, while Ice Team took a defeat and dropped a fresh blend after winning earlier in the week.
